PQN AUDIO VstSeq

VstSeq is a Tuareg 2 plugin for making loops with VSTIs...

Windows only (98SE, XP, I don't know for the others...)

Download PQN VstSeq 0.9c (132 Ko)

Unzip in your Tu2 plugin folder (Tuareg mode)...

...or unzip in a folder of your choice (standalone mode). The ini file is not needed in this case.


Specifications

Pattern sequencer :
Tempo : 30 to 303.
Number of measures : 1 to 8.
Number of steps by measure : 2 to 32.
The sequence can be exported as a Midi file.
Notes edition :
Create (left click).
Delete (right click).
Move (click in the head of the note and drag anywhere).
Change note lenght (clik in the tail of the note and drag horizontaly).
Change note velocity (clik in the middle of the note and drag verticaly).
VSTIs :
4 VSTIs max (use the little "synth" button to add a VSTI).
Use the "1", "2", "3" and "4" buttons to show or hide the corresponding VSTIs.
Load and save bank files (open the presets menu with the inverted red triangle in the VSTI title bar).
Select internal presets (open the presets menu with the inverted red triangle in the VSTI title bar).
Keyboard shortcuts :
Space bar : start/stop sequencer.
L : open the Add Vsti dialog box.
Ctrl+N, Ctrl+O, Ctrl+S, Ctrl+A, : New, Open, Save, and Save as functions of the File menu (standalone mode).
Ctrl+W : Render to Wave function of the File menu.
Ctrl+M : Export as Midi file function of the File menu.
Tuareg mode :
For those who use Tuareg 2 in registered mode, you can launch VstSeq from TU2 as a plugin.
VstSeq is opened with the actual TU2 tempo.
The internal state of VstSeq (loaded VSTIs, pattern sequencer settings...) is saved in the Tuareg song.
Render the pattern to wav file back in Tu2.
Standalone mode :
For those who use Tuareg 2 in freeware mode, you can launch VstSeq as a standalone program.
Load ans save your project files.
Render your patterns to wav files (for example, in the Tuareg samples folder, so you can load them quickly into Tu2).
Warning :
When you render to wave, the beginning of the wave file can be delayed by a certain amount of time. You can compensate this by setting the "render to wave adjust" parameter in the "Option/Devices" dialog window. Since version 0.9c, you probably have to set it to 0 (in the older versions, a value of 1 was a better choice).
